The Project ChildSafe Foundation is the fundraising engine for Project ChildSafe®, a program of NSSF®—The Firearm Industry Trade Association—committed to advancing firearm safety education nationwide.
Project ChildSafe promotes firearm safety in every state and U.S. territories. The program is very likely at work in your community, in partnership with your law enforcement agency. If it’s not, encourage your agency to acquire free gun locks and safety literature at ProjectChildSafe.org.
To date, Project ChildSafe has distributed more than 41 million safety kits, which include a cable-style gun-locking device and educational brochures available at no cost to gun owners. The firearm safety kits are distributed through partnerships with more than 15,000 local law enforcement agencies and 13,000 organizational partners.
Donations to Project ChildSafe Foundation fund these community firearm safety initiatives and save lives.
Through generous support from individuals, organizations and industry partners, the Project ChildSafe Foundation helps expand the reach and impact of Project ChildSafe’s life-saving programs—empowering communities to promote secure firearm storage, prevent accidents, suicide and theft, and protect families.
Every donation advocates a safer future.

Corporations can support Project ChildSafe in several meaningful ways. Companies may contribute through corporate donor‑advised funds, make direct gifts, or sponsor key initiatives that advance firearm safety education nationwide. Many organizations also empower their teams to give through employee giving programs, allowing individuals to support our mission through payroll contributions or workplace campaigns. Additionally, matching gift programs can double or even triple the impact of employee donations, extending your company’s commitment to community safety and responsible firearm ownership.
