Requests for Project ChildSafe firearm safety kits should be made by law enforcement partners only. Individuals seeking a firearm safety kit should use this link to find a participating law enforcement agency near them. (If your law enforcement agency is not already a partner, call the Crime Prevention Officer or Community Liaison and urge that the agency sign up – it’s free.) To distribute kits in their communities, law enforcement agencies have the option, and are encouraged, to partner with individuals, community groups and businesses. Firearm safety kits include a gun lock and safety education brochure; law enforcement also may request additional program materials – see “Partner Materials and Resources” on this page.
